Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Hello Magnets is a web-based platform that helps custom photo magnet makers manage and fulfil customer orders at events. Makers create events, generate QR codes, and receive photo orders from customers who scan those codes and upload their photos.

2. Accounts

Maker accounts are created via Google OAuth. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your login credentials or allow others to access your account.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Hello Magnets costs $20 USD per month, billed through Stripe. New accounts receive a free trial period. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

4. User Content

Makers retain ownership of all content they upload (logos, branding, settings). Customers retain all rights to the photos they upload. By using the service, you grant Hello Magnets a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

5. Image Retention

Customer-uploaded images are automatically deleted 30 days after the order is created. This protects customer privacy and keeps storage costs down. Makers should download any images they need before the retention window closes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service for other users
• Use the service to transmit harmful or malicious content

7. Privacy

We collect email addresses for account creation and notification delivery (e.g., order confirmations). We do not sell personal data. Makers may optionally share customer photos on social media, but only with the customer's consent. Customer photos are processed solely for magnet fulfilment.

8. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hello Magnets' total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policies.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
